Funding Payments

When will I know that I’ve been awarded funding, and how much?

Once your application has been completed and assessed for eligibility, it will be passed on for award assessment. Once you’ve been awarded funding from a particular fund, we’ll send you an email. You can then access your Award Letter on the online application form. This will show you your award and payment schedule. Payments are made in arrears and you will find a full break down on your Payment Schedule.

What do I have to do to be eligible to receive payments?

To receive any funding awarded to you, you must accept your award. Once you’ve been awarded funding, you’ll need to access your Award Letter and sign the agreement at the bottom. If you don’t sign your Award Letter, no payments will be released to you.

Please note that to receive EMA funding you also have to agree to the EMA Learning Agreement.

To receive each payment, you need to meet the eligibility criteria for the duration of the payment period. You can find out more about the payment criteria in the terms and conditions of your application and award, and in the Student Absence and Attendance, and Student Engagement documents.

When will I get my first payment?

You’ll be eligible to receive payments from the first available payment date after you’ve agreed to the terms and conditions of your award. You need to have agreed to this by the Thursday, the week before the payment is due to be eligible to be included in that payment run. If you miss the cut-off, all eligible payments will be backdated on the next available payment date.
